Sony VAIO F-Series (VPCF215FX) Laptop Review

Sony Vaio F Series has finally launched its model that offers all around performance for 3D gaming and multimedia entertainment. Sony Vaio F Series (VPCF215FX) Laptop is the machine. This model is considered as a provider of better 3D experiences than the other models like Acer, Aspire and Lenovo without even mentioning its other features.

One important component that makes up the Sony Vaio F Series is the processor. It is powered by an Intel Core i7 2630QM processor paired with a 6GB of RAM and equipped with an Nvidia GeForce GT 540M mobile GPU making it similar to Digital Storm XM15’s gaming performance. Another stellar feature of this Sony Vaio F Series is its viewing panel. It looks like a mini home theater with an all-black glossy coating that gives a sharp look to the laptop. The machine weighs 7.1 pounds and a thickness of 1.8 inches. It has a 16-inch with 1920 x 1080 HD panel that displays beautiful and vividly colored images. Sony Vaio F Series (VPCF215FX) Laptop is designed with wide viewing angles perfect for watching 2D, 3D and games from all directions. The package includes a pair of 3D shades that cost a hundred and fifty dollars. It is said to last for about a hundred hours battery life which is not rechargeable and is operated by button-cell batteries.

The laptop has a few intriguing features such as the keyboard. The keyboard is designed in a Chiclet-style with a soft white backlight that makes typing easier when in dim-lit rooms. A number pad is located at the right side of the keyboard which was designed for the gamer’s convenience. It would also prevent accidental hitting of other keys while gaming. The touch pad is located slightly off-center and is extremely touch-sensitive. The most interesting fact about the Sony Vaio F Series (VPCF215FX) laptop is that it can be used in a PlayStation 3 through the PS3 connection software. That makes it an even more powerful gaming machine.

Gaming would be a lot more exciting if it is accompanied by good audio. Sony Vaio F Series VPCF215FX’s built-in speakers pump out sounds that are not really impressive but rather atrocious. However, there is an audio feature called the Dolby Home Theater that improves the sound quality. This feature needs to be enabled to achieve good audio quality. Port-wise, it has three USB ports, an Ethernet jack, HDMI and VGA connectors, headphone and microphone jacks and a Blu-ray drive. One weakness of the Sony Vaio F Series is its battery life. It has a standard six-cell battery that can last up to one hour and twenty-seven minutes. So if you are thinking of working for long hours, make sure that you work near an AC outlet.

Sony never fails to introduce gaming gadgets. From the PlayStation series to PSPs, a new trend which is 3D gaming using laptops is now out in the digital gaming world. All in all, Sony Vaio F Series (VPCF215FX) laptops possess features that provide high quality performance making it the perfect choice to achieve a perfect 3D gaming experience.
