Good enough, but not cheap enough…
In the office environment, business owners chose specific equipment based on what that piece of equipment offers; the HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Color MFP Printer Review is an attempt to put into perspective what this multifunction printer can really do in a real office. Given that this multifunction printer is quite inexpensive to buy is beside the point. What we need to know is how much value it can give back to the employees to make the most out of the money that was spent on it as a profit enhancing tool. With this information, we go in depth into how the HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Color MFP Printer Review turns out and if the printer is truly a value oriented product or not.
The CM1415fnw is quite inexpensive as ranged against other printers that are in its class. This is a scanner, copier, printer and a fax machine all in one and has all the bells and whistles that an office printer is supposed to have. The usb port and the Ethernet port are standard in this model as well as wireless connectivity. It also has an automatic document feed to automate copying of multiple pages.
The print out for this printer is detailed as making 12 pages per minute in black and 8 pages per minute in color. Unfortunately, in real life, the numbers are not always as it seems. The printer gave a disappointing 8 pages per minute in black and a horrendous 2 pages in color. The numbers are far from what it is expected of this printer.
The print quality seems to be okay. The blacks are good enough and the color, while it does look good by any stretch of the imagination, there seems to be quite a bit of overdoing by the HP photoSMART engine in laying out the colors.
The way the printer and its accessories are made seems good enough and there is really nothing that we cay about it other than the fact that this model not have any dual sided copy support with it. Unlike the office of yesteryears, offices today need to have prints that look like the final document to be able to judge if it is good enough or not. And without the capability to print both sides of the paper, some documents cannot be printed this way.
But the biggest disappointment to this printer is the cost of its toner. It is just way too expensive as compared to other printers in its class. The price of the toner, and the number of pages it can print pales in comparison with other printers that have the ability to print pages in the low 5 digits with one cartridge.
The HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Color MFP Printer Review was not a total loss. This printer is quite cheap and the features, well at least some are a boon to the office. The lack of double sided printing and the relatively high cost of printing takes a lot out of its low price point, however.
